TITLE:
New Teacher Institute/GTCC Orientation
DESCRIPTION:
The New Teacher Institute provides an overview of all the opportunities provided by the Golden Triangle Cooperative. New teachers will learn how to access curriculum, use the GTCC website, and become involved in curriculum committee work. We will look at the professional development opportunities and communication network provided by the GTCC. The New Montana Standards and Indian Education for All awareness will also be presented. GTCC will offer TWO new teacher days this next year—August 15, 2018 and February 5, 2019. Teach Like a Champion is the theme of our two days together and title of a great book for all educators. Each participant will receive the book Teach Like a Champion at our first meeting.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Although we welcome teachers at either meeting, think about coming to both days. That is how we form relationships with teachers in different schools. Relationships are important in teacher retention. Participants do not need to bring anything.
