Workshop: 2126
TITLE:
Movin' & Shakin' in Primary!
DESCRIPTION:
Attend this action packed course ready to learn the HOW and WHY we need to get our kids moving in the classroom! You’ll learn the importance of making sure our students’ bodies are ready before they can even tackle academics, but also discover ways to incorporate academics with movement! This two day course will delve deeply into the science and reasoning behind getting our students moving in the classroom! It will be geared for grades PK-2 to help teachers gain confidence, strategies and rationale in modifying current practices to incorporate movement. Course participants will: understand the science of childrens’ body systems + muscle physiology, explore ways to incorporate movement with academics, discover quick and easy interventions using classroom items and things you already have, and implement interventions -- even as little as 5-15 minutes per day to increase stamina and focus with our youngest learners.
