TITLE:
A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words
DESCRIPTION:
Combining visuals with words is more powerful together than either alone. Come learn how to incorporate visual supports in your classroom to support student achievement. This content can be embedded into any content area. Multiple subject areas will be used to "illustrate" how to engage students. Participants will learn how to: teach basic visual info-doodling, note taking, and/or sketch-noting skills to their students; building in strategies for incorporating visuals into content, vocabulary, and routines while fostering students’ visual literacy skills.

Requirements outlined in this syllabus are only for those taking the class for college credit.
OPI Renewal Units OR Continuing Education Credits (through MSU-Northern) will be available. 1 summer semester credit for a 2-day workshop. Price is $150.00 and must be paid in advance through Brianna.
EXPENSES:
Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
REGISTRATION POLICY:
$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.
