The Why, What, and How of Standards Based Grading
DESCRIPTION:
In this 2 day workshop, explore the research and rationale behind standards based grading (SBG) so you can establish your purpose for implementing SBG in your classroom, your school, or your district. Learn essentials and practical steps for successful implementation of SBG, including prioritizing standards, creating proficiency scales, and aligning instruction and assessment to standards. Finally, use workshop time to plan for implementation of SBG in your setting.

CREDIT:
OPI Renewal Units OR Continuing Education Credits (through MSU-Northern) will be available. 1 summer semester credit for a 2-day workshop. Price is $150.00 and must be paid in advance through Brianna.
EXPENSES:
Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
REGISTRATION POLICY:
$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.
