TITLE:
High Impact Instruction
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
All teaching strategies and classroom activities are not created equal. This course will explore John Hattie’s meta-analysis about what strategies and activities have the greatest impact on student learning. We will look at how the teacher is the most important factor in student learning. We will explore strategies in teaching the four main subjects: literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. We will also identify how to get the most out of assessment and feedback. Work smarter, not harder, and enjoy increased success in your classroom.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring a laptop to follow along with the presentation and create a sample lesson plan to share with the group.
