TITLE:
Logging Creek Enlightenment: Recharge and Renew Your Energy For the New Year!
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Has student behavior and the social/emotional needs of your students got you down? Come enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, campfire food, and beautiful scenery - all paired with some fantastic new summer reading! This course will work on building a network with others, improving teachers’ knowledge regarding behavior management, and help teachers refocus on taking care of the most important asset to schools today - THEMSELVES!
Participants will hike through Sluice Box State Park and enjoy camping at the fabulous and secluded Logging Creek Campground. We will also pair the hike with various activities centered around expanding our knowledge on behavior management. We will utilize the book “The Behavior Code” and some reflective journaling activities to solidify and reflect on our learning.
Day 1: 10 am at Logging Creek Campground - setup campsites and then set out on a hike. Screenshot/print travel directions as cell service is very limited.
Based on weather and river flow - the exact details and hikes will be updated and are subject to change. Email updates will be sent once registration is complete!
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
If you plan to camp, please have all necessary creature comforts to make your stay the best possible. Bring lunch for the first day!
Dinner for night 1, breakfast on day 2, and lunch on day 2 will be provided. We will have water to refill water bottles and a variety of snacks! Feel free to bring any extra food and/or beverages.
If you have food allergies, please communicate with the instructor in advance or plan to provide your own food.

OPI Renewal Units -OR- 1 semester credit Continuing Education Credits (MSU-Northern) will be available ($150 - paid at the workshop).
EXPENSES:
Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
