TITLE:
Let's Create Together! K-8 Ready Made Art Projects
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Art instruction helps children with the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. Visual arts teach learners about color, layout, perspective, and balance: all techniques that are necessary in presentations of academic work. We will explore the 7 elements of art design. Participants will take home an art portfolio with at least 3 completed projects for each month, September - May. These art lessons will be ready to use in their classroom to meet the GTCC media and visual art standards. Instructors will also share favorite teacher friendly art websites, as well as literature.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Participants are asked to bring and share their favorite art lessons, if they have any.

OPI Renewal Units -OR- 1 semester credit Continuing Education Credits (MSU-Northern) will be available ($150 - paid at the workshop).

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
