This engaging, hands-on learning conference is designed specifically for rural educators teaching in multi-grade and Hutterite colony classrooms. The day will begin with an inspiring keynote address by Mona Shortman, setting the tone for a collaborative and practical professional learning experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of workshop sessions tailored to the unique needs of rural classrooms. Topics include MAST testing and preparation, English Language Learners and literacy instruction, effective classroom management strategies, music integration and Christmas play production, art, station rotation models, STEM projects, IEFA and cultural integration, and project-based learning. In addition, roundtable collaborative discussions will provide space for educators to share ideas, challenges, and solutions with peers.
This conference is designed to equip teachers with practical strategies, creative resources, and meaningful connections to support student success in diverse, multi-grade learning environments.
