“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
- John Dewey

October was a busy month for curriculum revision and work with member schools. November looks to be the same! In looking ahead, I’d like to ask, what are you thankful for? I am thankful for educators of our member schools who put students first and work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of our students. I am thankful for the wonderful teachers that take time away from their classrooms to do the most important work of our cooperative - curriculum revision. And, I am thankful for all of the support staff in our member schools; your work is priceless!

Book Recommendation: “Leading the Evolution: How to Make Personalized Competency-Based Education a Reality” by Mike Ruyle

“Engaged students can have a tremendous impact on the overall evolution of a school -- in fact, without student impact, initiatives are bound to fail. By redesigning educational systems, schools can move from reactive to proactive mode, and begin to examine and undertake the much more fundamental changes necessary to engage all students in deeper and productive learning.”
