TITLE:
Mandt Relational and Technical
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Participants will learn how developing healthy relationships with their students and other staff help support them when they are in crisis. Participants will learn how healthy relationships are built, ways to resolve conflict, and effectively communicate with others. Participants will also learn about the crisis-cycle and how relational skills are affected by crisis cycle placement. Day 2 is a technical portion in which participants will be supporting people in crisis by assisting, avoiding and restraining individuals when in crisis.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Please wear comfortable clothes for day 2; participants will be supporting individuals in crisis. Participants will need to be able to assist, avoid, and restrain.
You will also need a pen to fill out paperwork and tests.
